Payment Settings

emenu browser allows restaurants to accept payments either via Credit/Debit card online or by Cash/Payment on delivery/collection.

First of all, ensure that you are signed into your emenu browser website, via the link at the bottom of the page. To edit your Payment Settings:

1. Hover your cursor over the 'Dashboard' button at the top of the screen (on the right hand side), this will bring up a menu. Click 'Payment Settings'.
2. You should now have a screen with all the different payment types, and the option to edit them. You should also be able to see the different tax rates that can be applied to your eMenu products.
3. To edit the settings for any of these notifications, click on the 'Configure' or 'Edit' link for the item you wish to edit.

Payment Types

Learn more about each of the payment types, and how to configure them:

• Cash on Delivery/Collection
• Paypal - Online Credit / Debit Card
• SagePay - Linking to your existing merchant bank account

In addition to other settings, all payment options have the following standard settings:

• Enable Method - Whether this payment method is active, and can be used by your customers.
• Surcharge Cost - You can add a surcharge for using this payment method (including TAX if applicable). This can be a fixed amount (e.g. 0.50) per order, or a percentage (e.g. 1%) of the order value.
  Tip! If you wish to have no surcharge, set this value to 0 (zero).
• Tax Rate - The tax rate charged for any surcharge cost.

Cash on Delivery/Collection

You can choose whether you wish to accept payment upon Delivery to customer, or Collection from restaurant/takeaway by the customer. Settings are as listed above.

Paypal - Online Credit / Debit Card

This Payment Setting allows you to start accepting card payments online via Paypal. Paypal is a universally recognised payment method. Your customers can use their credit or debit card to pay, and do not need to have a Paypal account.

Additional Settings:

• Paypal ID - This is the email address your Paypal account is registered with.

You will need to set up a Paypal account for your restaurant/takeaway to accept this payment type. Standard Paypal fees will apply when accepting this method of payment.

Create a Paypal business account, no set-up fees or monthly charges.

SagePay - Online Payment Gateway

Accept payments direct to your merchant account via the SagePay payment gateway.

Additional Settings:

• SagePay ID - This is the Vendor ID given to you by SagePay.
• SagePay Encryption Key - This will be given to you when you register with SagePay.
• Authorisation Type
• Deferred - Money is authorised and reserved, but not automatically accepted until you login into SagePay and release the payment.
• Immediate - Money will be taken automatically and no further interaction is required.
• Transaction Mode
• Live - Accept Live Payments. This is when you are ready to start accepting payments from customers.
• Test - A Test Payment is needed initially during the set-up of your SagePay account, prior to them activating your live account.
